3rd assignment

Westerkamp argues that "the essence of soundscape composition is the artistic, sonic transmission of meanings about a place, time, environment and listening perception"(2002).  This is the soundscape that I created from the audio recordings that I took in the morning before musi334 class.  Truax's principles  I've trimmed all the audios that I recorded cut and paste it in a sequence that can be easily understood even though there's a lot going on. All the sounds from this soundscape can be heard or create in everyday lives.  Choosing the audio is the key transformations. 2nd assignment

The first video is a demo of Jack from the Summer Thieves doing a half-written song of his own. I got to the studio an hour earlier to get everything set up as jack's only gave me about 30 min to finish the recording. Luckily everything went smoothly and we manage to record the first verse, chorus and the guitar track. Used a free video editor called headliner app for the audio demo. This is the audio file of summary reading of Technotalsgia .I find it hard to finish reading it , below is the  complete summary of the article . This article seeks to provide new insights into the ways that producers of recorded popular music are influenced by and engage with - on both a technical and methodological level – the broader social and cultural discourses that envelope the music and artists they record.  T he creative inspiration of the artist, the technology of the recording studio, and the commercial aspirations of the record company ,  emphasize that commercial popular music productions are also grounded in highly specific, ideologically oriented discourses ( conversation ) , and that these have a definitive impact on recordings’ sonic characteristics.
